Tim Tebow’s ‘Night to Shine’ event gets the royal treatment

Nearly 700 churches worked together Friday night to host “Night to Shine,” a worldwide event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and focused on showing God’s love to those with special needs. NCF has had the honor of working alongside the Tim Tebow Foundation since its inception. We are so proud of their work and of our employees who showed up to serve at Night to Shine events in their areas.

Churches in 48 states and around the world honored 100,000 prom kings and queens, who were shown the royal treatment by more than 200,000 volunteers working to make the night special.

“Kings” were each given a tuxedo and a shoe-shine, and “Queens” got gorgeous dresses, hair, and makeup. Everyone wore a corsage or boutonniere. Each guest arrived to a cheering crowd and paparazzi as they walked down the red carpet. Once inside, they enjoyed a night full of dancing, karaoke and gifts to remember the evening.

“Night to Shine is a night where people get to understand their worth … that God loves them and that God has an amazing plan for their life,” Tebow said. “It’s incredible to see people from all corners of the world coming together through Night to Shine to celebrate the love that God has for all of us!”

The foundation of this former University of Florida Quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner remains dedicated to allocating significant funding, in hopes that the ‘Night to Shine’ tradition will continue to share God’s love with people who are too often not celebrated.
