Residents of Comfort, Kerrville, and surrounding communities were swept into fast-moving waters. More than 130 lives have been lost, including the director, counselors, and campers from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls. NCF Austin is working closely with local leaders and community partners who know the needs on the ground best, prayerfully discerning where support will bring the greatest help and hope. Funds have also helped hire an additional Young Life staff member in the area to ensure consistent, long-term relational ministry to high school kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rebuilding efforts are expected to span the next three to five years, and the needs remain ongoing.
