Wendy Warwick is our resident expert on crop gifts here at the National Christian Foundation of California. In addition, she is a practicing attorney, CPA, wife, mother, and the director of Modesto Christian School.
Wendy earned her BA in Business Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. She began her career as a CPA, working for Deloitte & Touche in San Francisco before going to law school. In her first legal career, she was a business lawyer for Downey Brand in Sacramento and then an attorney with Damrell, Nelson, Schrimp in Modesto, CA. After having her second child, she traded practicing law for homeschooling until all of her children reached high school.
Wendy’s second legal career began when she reactivated her license and helped Modesto Christian School reorganize as an independent nondenominational ministry. Her passion for Christian education led not only to board service but also to developing a crop gift program through which farmers are able to support the school, and other ministries, through substantial tax-efficient gifts. Wendy is currently helping other ministries develop asset-based fundraising programs.
Wendy lives in Modesto, California, with her husband, John, who is a family practice physician. They have four children: James is in medical school in Kentucky where he lives with his wife, Juliana; Jaclyn is at UC Irvine Law School; and Meagan and Nicole, twins, attend Azusa Pacific University, both majoring in biology, and are scholarship athletes with the track and field team.
Calvary Chapel of Modesto has been the Warwick church home for many years. Wendy also participates in community Bible studies and most recently co-chaired a committee for Tim Tebow’s Night to Shine, Modesto.
N.C.F. California is blessed to have Wendy on our team in this specialized capacity.
