And we\u2019ve all heard people say, \u201cI can\u2019t wait until things get back to normal.\u201d After experiencing God\u2019s love more intimately, feeling His grace more abundantly, and witnessing His work first-hand, will we go back to our old version of \u201cnormal?\u201d What if God might be turning some of those &#8220;old normals\u201d into \u201cnew normals\u201d?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><em>\u201cAs for the rich in this present age, charge them not to be haughty, nor to set their<\/em> <em>hopes on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly provides us with<\/em> <em>everything to enjoy. They are to do good, to be rich in good works, to be<\/em> <em>generous and ready to share, thus storing up treasure for themselves as a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is truly life.\u201d<\/em><\/p><p><\/p><cite><em>1 Timothy 6:17-19 ESV<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Yithrah<\/em>, in Hebrew, means wealth, abundance, or riches. As a nation, we have a level of \u201cYithrah\u201d not seen in many other places on earth. In our own country, a lot of us have abundant food, shelter, and extras that some, even in our own backyards, can\u2019t imagine.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the midst of what we\u2019ve been dealing with over the last couple of months have you thought about how God is changing us?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s interesting to note that diamonds are formed by extreme heat and&nbsp;pressure. What new thing is God teaching us, showing us, or creating in us through the heat and pressure we\u2019re experiencing right now?&nbsp;Being subjected to heat and pressure is not always comfortable, but the \u201cdiamonds\u201d&nbsp;they can produce are extremely precious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Timothy points out,&nbsp;<em>by&nbsp;doing good, being rich in good deeds, and being generous<\/em>, we are laying up treasure on a firm foundation so we can take hold of what is truly life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It is a difficult time. There are pressures all around us. Yet, the Holy Spirit has not been quarantined.
