Join us for a Service Project on June 1

Here at NCF Chicago, our desire is for God to grow the Church in community and generosity.  One way we wanted to put this into action was by partnering with Illinois based charities to make an impact locally.  We became aware of the need for a playground in the newly renovated Cabrini-Green location of By The Hand Club For Kids.  At the same time, we became more closely connected to Kids Around the World, a charity based in Rockford, IL that partners with organizations worldwide to establish playgrounds in poverty-stricken communities.

As God stirred conversations and relationships between the three organizations, we agreed to join efforts to raise funds for this project and provide volunteers for the installation. There are a few ways you can volunteer your time and talents:

• May 28 and 29 from 8am to 5pm – playground installation with the Kids Around the World team. We could still use a few folks to help us do the install before the ribbon cutting event.

• June 1 from 9am to 1pm – service project day and an opportunity to connect with families connected to By The Hand in Cabrini-Green. There will be a few areas of service that you can serve as a volunteer (landscaping, playground finishing touches, garden and hospitality). This will be a great opportunity to serve as a family or a group of friends!
