David Murray

David works as part of the NCF Michigan team to build relationships with current and future givers and their professional advisors to create well-planned, intentional strategies for their giving so that they can achieve their goals of Biblical generosity. He also helps givers and their ministries by providing innovative and tax-efficient giving solutions.

David is a Financial Contributor for CNBC and FoxBusiness, a published author, FINRA Arbitrator in SE Michigan. He has served in the financial services industry for more than 30 years, where he has been responsible for portfolio assessment/review, sales/marketing, Financial Advisor consultation, and client/investor support out of Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, and Detroit. Most recently, he served as Regional Vice President for Lincoln Financial, Managing Director of Wealth Management for The PrivateBank and Vice President and Partner for Capital Research/American Funds. Since 2003, David and his identical twin brother have appeared occasionally as financial contributors on CNBC, The Today Show, MSNBC, and Fox News. In 2006, they published “Two for the Money: Financial Success for the Sandwich Generation (Carroll & Graf)”.

David is a graduate of Dickinson College and also attended The University of Lancaster, in Lancashire, England. He resides in Birmingham, MI with his wife, Janet. They feel blessed to have 3 wonderful children, now grown. David and Janet enjoy their lake house in Northern Michigan, golf, hiking, skiing, and travel.
