As followers of Jesus, many are asking the question, “What can I do?” Our hearts may feel called to work toward God’s justice, even to fight racial injustice in our own communities. But how do we do that with our giving? It’s not always easy to discover the best ways to invest in the change we long to see.

This week, we explore a friendship forged between a white giver and a Black nonprofit leader as they work together to do the most good possible for Black-led charities serving communities on the West Side of Chicago and beyond. Learning as they go, these two friends have developed a list of five principles to direct giving across racial lines.
