You're never too young to be generous

By NCF

Drew Formsma is a fourth generation giver. He is heir to a legacy of unassuming, consistent, quiet giving through generations of family who spoke volumes to him and his siblings by their actions.

Running errands, killing time before church, stopping for gas, little acts that happened spontaneously somehow taught him to give consistently, to plan for giving, to be ready at any minute to share – share about Jesus, share what’s in his wallet, share the moment it takes to listen to someone’s story.

Generosity has shaped his identity and is directing his future plans. It’s a joy to see this eloquent 18-year-old young man already walking the path of a generous life.

BOOK

What could a teenager possibly have to give? And what if they try generosity and it doesn’t go right? Will that keep them from wanting to give again? In this book, teenager Drew Formsma addresses these and many other concerns of his peers.

The time to start giving is now, he points out, because when you’re older and have a lot more money and more responsibilities, it’s going to be easier to give if you’ve already established the habit. This is a great book for sharing with kids and grandchildren.
