Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to the Saturday 7.
We know that women have unique ideas and priorities regarding giving, so we invited one of our strategic partners, Women Doing Well, to help curate this weekend's content. (Don't miss the intro video above from their president Julie Wilson.) We hope you'll enjoy learning the perspectives women bring to the generosity movement and forward this to the ladies in your life.
NCF’s 2022 research report revealed that women’s priorities, when it comes to generosity, may not be the same as their male counterparts. This is important, because we also know that an enormous amount of wealth will change hands over the next 30 years, much of it from men to women. This week, we’ll explore the research to find out how women view giving differently.
Everyone wants to experience community, but often we feel ill-equipped to extend or receive it. Watch this short video to see how Laura Pflug, abstract artist, felt called to do something extraordinary to help a friend and her children heal after they experienced sudden loss.
A consistent request Women Doing Well hears from women is for resources and financial tools designed uniquely for them. The Wealth Edit’s beautiful and practical guidebook is packed with tools to help you understand your money and gain confidence about what to do with it. You can also check out the Wealth Edit website and take a quiz to learn how you can be better with money.
Often, giving can feel distracted and isolating. But it doesn’t have to be that way. The Women Doing Well Pathway is an invitation into a journey of discovery of how God uniquely created you to thrive and to impact the world around you through your giving. Learn how Women Doing Well can help you identify your unique giving purpose and passion and live your God-designed life with others. At the beginning of the pandemic, Laura Pflug, abstract artist, began this painting she calls Community. She saw people who are different coming together in harmony and herself as part of something bigger that's beautiful. The piece, which she donated to NCF, hangs in our brand new community gathering space.
Saturday 7 is brought to you by our team at the National Christian Foundation (NCF). We would love to help you create your Giving Strategy™ so you can experience more joy and adventure as you pursue a life of generosity. Find an NCF location near you at ncfgiving.com/locations.
