Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to the Saturday 7.
God’s goodness is a bedrock of our faith and generosity, and what we see in creation, especially as the seasons change, is irrefutable evidence of how much he cares for each one of us.
But this month is also National Recovery Month. So, we’re exploring how his unwavering love intersects with healing and wholeness and how recovery mirrors his restorative nature. As you enjoy this beautiful fall season, remember that the God who paints trees with vibrant colors also brings beauty from ashes in the lives of those overcoming addiction. There is no struggle beyond his reach.
Portsmouth, Ohio, was once ravaged by the opioid epidemic. Realizing no one was coming to save them from a growing crisis, the people of Portsmouth banded together to promote real change through the strategy of group fitness. Small Town Strong documents how one Army veteran and one small town changed a downward trajectory by helping their neighbors find recovery.

The beauty of the earth is evidence of God’s goodness. In light of this, take some time this weekend to reflect on the generosity of our Creator and Sustainer and worship him for what he has made.
Saturday 7 is brought to you by our team at the National Christian Foundation (NCF). We would love to help you create your Giving Strategy™, so you can experience more joy and adventure as you pursue a life of generosity. Find an NCF location near you at ncfgiving.com/locations.
