Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to the Saturday 7.
The biblical image of Jesus as the Good Shepherd brings comfort and peace to believers. Yet behind the sweet metaphor lies one of the most profound mysteries of our faith – a shepherd who not only guides and protects but willingly walks into the deepest darkness for the sake of his flock.
While the story ends in peace, it also involves agonizing love, intentional sacrifice, and a powerful hope. To gain a better understanding of what he endured for our sake, we need to see what it cost the Good Shepherd to rescue his flock from the snare of death and pay the price for our peace.
Since 2019, Millennial wealth has quadrupled and will soon exceed that of Baby Boomers. Yet, many advisors are unfamiliar with the distinct giving patterns of the next generation. Join us on May 14 for “Understanding a Next Gen perspective on wealth and giving.” Christin Fejervary, vice president of brand and customer experience, will provide insights from our latest research. We’ll discuss practical strategies to effectively guide Next Gen and multi-generational family giving.
God created a good and perfect world, and although his creation turned from him, he brought restoration through a gift. In other words, the gospel is shaped by giving. God’s generosity bought us out of bondage and into the blessings of belonging and made us participants in his movement of divine justice and generosity. Authors Kelly Kapic and Justin Borger reveal how, by living in God’s gifts, we can discover we are free to give ourselves.
