Welcome to the weekend, and welcome to the Saturday 7.
In some of the hardest-to-reach places on earth, the gospel is spreading in ways that feel strikingly similar to the early church. New believers are carrying Scripture from village to village, and churches are multiplying in communities that have never had one before. Discover how simple, locally led movements are bringing the gospel to the unreached and how you can help equip that work.
Today’s evangelical Christians have been entrusted with an estimated $7 trillion in wealth, and we have the tools, transportation, and technology we need to get the Good News to places it’s never been. What's still lacking, and what opportunities exist to be part of this mission? Listen as NCF’s Kendra VanderMeulen and Doug Cobb of The Finishing Fund discuss the opportunity before us and the role of generosity in The Great Commission.
An estimated 2% of Christians’ income goes to churches and Christian causes. About 6% of that money supports global missions, and only 2% of that missions funding goes specifically to unreached people groups – communities with little or no access to the gospel. That means only 0.002% of all Christians’ income ever reaches the unreached.
