Worth Metroplex; and<\/em><\/li><li><em>Aligned with NCF\u2019s Biblical beliefs and values.<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Importantly, we are not expressly or impliedly promoting any non-profit organization listed below.&nbsp;&nbsp;Instead, we know of their work and that each organization meets the above criteria.&nbsp;&nbsp;This is intended to be the start of a list that grows as our local generous communities tell us about other non-profit organizations that meet the criteria.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal and intent behind this Guide is to give you information to review, further research, and pray over on your own.&nbsp;&nbsp;We hope that the Lord will use this list to draw you into wherever He is calling you to give, whether that is an organization listed or not.&nbsp;&nbsp;We also hope this serves as a prayer guide of sorts to pray for the growing number of organizations that are providing direct relief to people in our areas who are most adversely affected by the COVID-19 health crisis.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Six Local Giving Areas<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><em>Food and Supplies<\/em>:  Distribute food and essentials, such as personal care items, household goods, and supplies for at home learning to the elderly, low-income families, and other under-served communities.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ncfgiving.com\/northtexas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Make a grant<br><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Behind Every Door<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>We serve families in our communities and ensuring they have essential supplies and accurate, timely information on the COVID-19 virus. We have developed an alternative plan to serve the families in our communities under the circumstances.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.behindeverydoor.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.behindeverydoor.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Bridges Safehouse<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Through our diaper pantry, we serve the most vulnerable during this crisis, women and children. We deliver diapers and wipes to pregnant women and parents in our community and set up appointments for pick up. Bridges is also a safe house for mothers experiencing homelessness.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/bridgescanhelp.org\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/bridgescanhelp.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Buckner Children and Family Services<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Buckner serves the most vulnerable children and families in North Texas through our core programs: Family Hope Centers preserve families by providing them with critical social services and aid to keep them strong and moving toward sustainability.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.buckner.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.buckner.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Christian Community Action<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>CCA will begin delivering weekly groceries and lunch to seniors home. We are highly encouraging them to stay at home, and to let us bring their groceries and lunch to them. With the closings of restaurants, retailers, and other service-oriented businesses, many people in our community will see a significant reduction in income or job loss. This will impact CCA, as we expect to see an increase in clients needing rental, utility, and food assistance.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ccahelps.org\/covid19\" target=\"_blank\">www.ccahelps.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>CitySquare<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>The CitySquare Food Pantry remains open, meeting a significantly increase demand. To safely serve our neighbors, the pantry has shifted from a client-choice model to a drive-up distribution model, with a walk-up option for neighbors relying on public transportation.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.citysquare.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.citysquare.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Freedom Shield Foundation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>We are providing packaged meals to those in&nbsp;&nbsp;direct need of food.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freedomshieldfoundation.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.freedomshieldfoundation.com<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>North Texas Food Bank<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>We continue to provide food for food insecure people and families.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ntfb.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.ntfb.org<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Salvation Army North Texas Command<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table is-style-stripes\"><table><tbody><tr><td>The Salvation Army is ramping up efforts to mitigate the spread among our community\u2019s most vulnerable populations \u2013 from those who have no place to call home to those who could be just Designating areas for isolation in our shelters, should that become necessary one paycheck away from eviction. We are committed to maintaining a safe, compassionate, quality place for care of every neighbor. We provide hotel stays due when patients cannot go home.
