Dr. JoAnn Flett

Your Soul at Work

Featuring JoAnn Flett, MBA | PhD
Executive Director, Center for Faithful Business
Seattle Pacific University

For many Christ-followers, the separation of life into secular and sacred categories makes no sense and runs counter to biblical teaching. Nonetheless, the question: “Does my work matter to God and if so, how do I live out my faith through the work that I do?” perplexes us.

Come join us as Dr. JoAnn Flett, Executive Director of the Center for Faithful Business at Seattle Pacific University helps us think through this important question and provides us with stories of others who are working this out in their own lives and professional careers as they seek to integrate their faith and work in a manner that better serves their clients, colleagues, and community.

Dr. JoAnn Flett is the Executive Director of the Center for Faithful Business at SPU. She is a frequent speaker, advisor and organizational consultant teasing out the intersection of faith and business that promotes human flourishing.
JoAnn was a 2020 Fulbright Teaching Scholar to Trinidad and Tobago. Her doctoral dissertation was entitled Reshaping the Goals of 21st Century Business: A Study of the B-Corp Movement. She is an advisor to the Values-based Leadership for International Development project at Oxford University and works extensively with several organizations at the cutting edge of faith and business integration. JoAnn is married to Dr. Eric Flett who is a professor of Theology & Culture at Eastern University. The couple has two sons, Miles (26) and Elliot (23).
