CGA Services: Get started
Our CGA team has decades of experience guiding each step. They take care of all the administrative details, including issuing the contract and managing the annuity, which reduces the burden on your team.
Step 1: Connect with your local team
Reach out to your NCF team to get started. Our team will guide you through a simple onboarding process, so you’re equipped to offer Charitable Gift Annuities to your donors.
Step 2: Discuss with your donors
Your team leads the donor conversation. Using NCF’s illustration tools, you help donors evaluate whether a CGA aligns with their financial goals and charitable intent.
When a donor is ready to move forward, you provide the NCF CGA application and disclosure form and assist them in completing it.
Step 3: Submit the application and the gift
You send the completed application and the donor’s contribution to NCF for review and processing. We confirm all details before issuing the annuity contract.
NCF’s minimum funding amount for a CGA is $25,000.
Step 4: NCF issues and implements the annuity
Once NCF receives the application and gift, we handle the administrative and regulatory steps, including:
- Issuing the CGA contract
- Providing the donor’s receipt, including the tax-deductible portion
- Sending copies of documentation to your organization
This ensures the annuity is properly established and the gift is made to your chari
Step 5: NCF provides ongoing administration and annuity payments
NCF administers the annuity for the lifetime of the annuitant(s), including:
- Disbursing annuity payments (quarterly, semi-annually, or annually)
- Preparing and mailing annual tax documents (e.g., Form 1099-R)
- Monitoring regulatory requirements and managing compliance
The CGA contract is owned by NCF, so your organization does not carry liability for the annuity payments.
