Bringing A Journey of Generosity to Central and Eastern PA

Paul exhorted the Corinthians to remember that

“whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.”

In 2 Corinthians 9, he reminds us that God is the source of every good gift. He provides what we need, equips us for every good work, and multiplies what is offered back to Him.

As we grow in our understanding of God’s generosity toward us, something remarkable happens. We begin to hold our resources more openly. We become more attentive to the needs around us. We experience the joy of participating in God’s work. And those who are blessed through our generosity catch a glimpse of God’s goodness for themselves.

Generosity does more than meet needs. It strengthens communities, deepens relationships, and ultimately results in thanksgiving and praise to God.

This is the vision that inspires us at NCF Lancaster.

We long to see God abundantly glorified throughout our region. We want churches, ministries, and nonprofits to have the resources they need to pursue the work God has called them to do. We want families and individuals to experience the joy that comes from recognizing God’s abundant provision and participating in His kingdom work.

Join a JOG – A Journey of Generosity

One of the ways we are investing in that vision is through our partnership with Generous Givingopens in a new tab. For more than two decades, Generous Giving has been helping people explore God’s perspective on stewardship through the Journey of Generosity—a simple, relational retreat experience that invites participants to reflect on what Scripture teaches about generosity and God’s ownership of all things.

Since 2023, God has raised up a community of more than 55 trained Journey of Generosity facilitators across Central and Eastern Pennsylvania. Together, these facilitators are helping bring conversations about biblical generosity into churches, advisory practices, ministries, homes, and communities throughout the region.

Central Pennsylvania has a rich legacy of generosity. Our prayer is that the culture of caring for neighbors, supporting kingdom work, and sharing the Gospel will continue for generations to come. We long to see a movement of generosity that grows beyond our region and impacts communities throughout the Mid-Atlantic.

Like a farmer scattering seed, we are investing generously today in the hope of a future harvest. We trust God to multiply these efforts in ways we cannot yet see—for His glory, for the good of our neighbors, and for the advancement of His kingdom.
