Since 2000, the Michigan office of the National Christian Foundation has walked alongside generous people to make the most of all that God has entrusted to them. We believe that God is continually inspiring His people to greater generosity, and we’re grateful to play a role in the story He is writing. It’s our privilege to assist givers with strategic tools for effective giving and biblical wisdom to navigate their generosity journey.
Looking back, we want to express gratitude for the past team members, Board of Trustees members, and key partners who have devoted their time and energy to NCF’s mission since our founding. Their service has allowed the Michigan office of NCF to grow in a particularly healthy and impactful way. The expansion of giving and granting through NCF Michigan has accelerated incredibly in the last 10 years. We celebrated $250M in cumulative grants to charity in 2017. Just a few years later in 2021, we surpassed $500M. We anticipate celebrating $1 billion in collective grants to charity in 2026. This is an incredible milestone for which we give God all the glory! We celebrate how God is mobilizing generous followers to advance His kingdom purposes.
As we look ahead to the next decade of ministry, our attention turns to growing awareness of NCF’s resources in East Michigan. We believe there is great capacity in the metro Detroit area to introduce new contacts to the expertise and guidance that NCF offers. We are working to gather givers on the east side of the state to be encouraged in their generosity and become equipped for even greater ministry.
We’re also maximizing opportunities to serve women and next-gen inheritors during the Great Wealth Transfer. The landscape of charitable giving is changing, and new decision-makers are taking the stage. NCF Michigan is uniquely positioned to come alongside givers with biblically sound strategies to accelerate charitable purposes. We’re also grateful to have a broad network of partners who support specific needs and goals of these new wealth managers.
At NCF Michigan, impact investing is a key component of our charitable offerings. Impact investing enables redemptive initiatives through loans or gifts of charitable dollars. We’re excited about several Michigan-based impact investing opportunities that our givers have invested in, and look forward to uncovering more.
