As business owners approach a transition or exit, the decisions they make can shape not only their financial future but also the impact they leave behind. On November 12th, the Exit Planning Institute of New Jersey welcomes Rachael Watson, JD and Matt Buckley of the National Christian Foundation (NCF) for a practical session on advanced charitable giving strategies — with a focus on donor-advised funds and the use of non-cash assets, including private company stock, to fund them.

Hosted by Exit Planning Institute – New Jersey Chapter and NCF Houston

Rachael and Matt will address a real knowledge gap for advisors, accountants, and attorneys working with business owners who hold significant illiquid wealth — showing how contributing appreciated or illiquid assets to a donor-advised fund ahead of a liquidity event can reduce capital gains tax exposure while creating lasting charitable impact.

This event continues EPI New Jersey’s mission of building a forum where the local community of professional advisors can collaborate on the unique needs of business owners, developing educational programs that build awareness and better prepare owners for a successful transition. As part of the broader Exit Planning Institute network, which supports thousands of advisors nationally and certifies more than 8,000 Certified Exit Planning Advisors, the NJ Chapter brings that same caliber of education directly to the tri-state business community.
