Tampa Bay Foster Care and Adoption Alliance

On the evening of May 13, 2021, 100 agency heads, business owners and interested funders gathered on the third floor of the Glazer Children’s Museum to consider the challenges facing kids, families and caregivers in the foster care system in Tampa Bay. That honest and robust conversation uncovered both the complexity of the problem and also the sincere and wholehearted commitment of the people in the room. An alliance was proposed as a way to work toward a deeper understanding of the challenges, better interagency communication, developing a collaborative strategy and unlocking new funding opportunities. The resounding yes from that group gave birth to this new alliance, which as of today is comprised of over 30 alliance members!
