Scott Patrick

President

Scott is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership roles within the pharmaceutical industry and the charitable giving space, with a focus on new markets and regional growth, client relationships, and coaching and advocating for local relationship teams.

Scott grew up in East Tennessee and holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill and bachelor’s in economics from the from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

After graduating from UNC, Scott joined Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly and Company in market research and advanced through numerous functional areas and roles at Lilly during a 25-year career, including leadership roles in state government affairs, marketing, and sales. Scott led the osteoporosis business unit’s Southeast regional sales team in Atlanta and retired from that role in 2015.

Upon his retirement from Lilly, Scott joined the National Christian Foundation’s (NCF) national office as vice president of network relations. In this role, Scott served as NCF’s national office liaison to local affiliates across the country, providing coaching and leadership to local office teams while serving on 13 local affiliate boards.

During Scott’s tenure in this role, he oversaw the formation and launch of four new local NCF affiliate offices in Austin and Waco, Memphis, and Lancaster. Scott transitioned from this role in 2023 and assumed the role of advisor to NCF’s newly formed Giver Experience and Offerings team. In 2024, Scott joined the NCF Alabama team as president.

Scott is passionate about the local church and is enthusiastic for advancing men’s discipleship. He has served as a long-time volunteer with the Christian Association of Youth Mentoring and attends Red Mountain Church in Birmingham. For recreation, Scott enjoys hiking, fishing, camping and occasional international travel.

Scott and his wife, Carmen, have three adult children, as well as six grandchildren, who live in the Birmingham and Huntsville areas.
