Mark King
With a rich background in impact and start-up investing, Mark brings over 30 years of experience in impact and start-up investing, facilitating more than $1.6 billion in funding for more than 560 venture-capital-backed companies. His career began in international microfinance, after which he spent two decades lending to venture capital backed startups. Prior to joining NCF Chicago, Mark managed impact loan fund lending at Broadstreet Impact.
Mark has a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College (IL), an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and is a CFA® charterholder. Today, Mark a Vice President in the NCF Chicago office, where he helps givers transform appreciated assets, like businesses and real estate, into charitable capital.
Mark and his wife Tina have three adult sons. They attend Soul City Church in Chicago’s West Loop. Mark enjoys running, fixing up houses, dabbling in podcasting, and hiking national parks with his family.
