Bill Williams
Bill grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and committed his life to Jesus at the age of nine. After college, he had a successful 32 year career with the BellSouth Corporation, serving in twenty-one positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of strategy, planning, finance, technology, operations, and new business development. After retiring from BellSouth in September, 2006, God called Bill to serve as President of Generous Giving from 2008-2010, and then as CEO of National Christian Foundation from November, 2010 through May, 2016.
Bill has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Georgia Tech and was inducted as a Distinguished Alumnus in 1999. He has an MBA from Georgia State University with a concentration in Finance, and is an MIT Senior Executive Fellow.
Bill’s wife of 43 years, Regina, passed away of breast cancer and went to be with her first love Jesus on September 20, 2015. God then divinely led Bill and Dr. Beverly Upton, together; and they were married on October 1, 2016. Bill and Bev have seven grandchildren by Bill’s three sons and three daughters-in-law.
Bill enjoys sailing, water and snow skiing, reading, and competing in triathlons. In addition to loving and serving his family, God has called Bill to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to encourage others to experience the joy of generosity.
