Matthew Hendley

Generosity Ambassador

Matthew serves National Christian Foundation as Generosity Ambassador. He encourages generosity among givers, ministry leaders and financial advisors all across the state of Georgia. Matthew oversees the growth of Generosity Councils and is passionate about the generosity movement. He also enjoys facilitating Journey of Generosity retreats to encourage givers in their walk with Christ. Prior to NCF ministry, he and his family served for 15 years in various leadership roles at the Paul Anderson Youth Home (PAYH), a faith based non-profit, which serves troubled teenage boys. Matthew is also a former high school teacher in South East Georgia and has worked with youth leadership organizations. He invests in his community primarily by mentoring others, bible teaching, serving givers and non-profits, and participating in prayer ministry.

He is co-founder of the non-profit, The Ingathering, Inc. along with his wife Shannon. The Ingathering focuses on: education of biblical stewardship of God’s resources, teaching the Christian community to honor the Jewish culture and tradition, consulting other non-profits in resource development, and instruction of biblical living principles to families.

Matthew is an ordained minister, Gideon, and Eagle Scout. He received his Bachelor of Science and his Masters in Education from the University of Georgia. He and his wife live in Vidalia, Georgia. They have been married 22 years and are blessed with three daughters and two sons. Matthew and Shannon enjoy ministering to couples, simple homesteading, outdoor activities, and building craft projects together.
