Chris McAlpin

Joins the NCF Gulf South team as a senior vice president (relationship manager). In this role, he will focus on serving givers and families in Mississippi. NCF Gulf South is excited for the opportunity to serve more communities in this Gulf Coast region of the country.

Chris comes to NCF from Sound Financial Strategies Group, where he served as managing partner and senior financial advisor. In that role, he guided the firm’s growth while helping families pursue lasting generational impact through wise financial stewardship. He holds an MBA from Mississippi College and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi. He also studied international finance at King’s College in London and completed advanced financial planning coursework through the College of Financial Planning.

Chris’ passion is teaching biblical financial management. He has authored books and articles on the topic and is the creator of The Chase podcast, where he often reminds listeners: “While you are chasing something good, God is chasing you with something great.”

Beyond his professional work, Chris serves as a volunteer prison chaplain, is an elder in his church, and partners with ministries and missions locally and globally. He and his wife are blessed with three teenage daughters.
