Scott is a seasoned executive with a strong background in both the pharmaceutical industry and the charitable giving space. His career has focused on launching new markets, nurturing client relationships, driving regional growth, and equipping local teams through coaching and advocacy.

A native of East Tennessee, Scott earned his MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Following his graduate studies, Scott began a 25-year career with Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, where he served in a variety of leadership roles across market research, government affairs, marketing, and sales. He concluded his tenure at Lilly by building the Southeast regional sales team for the company’s osteoporosis business unit, based in Atlanta, before retiring in 2015.

After retiring from Lilly, Scott brought his leadership gifts to the National Christian Foundation (NCF), serving as vice president of network relations. In that role, he provided strategic coaching and support to local NCF affiliates across the country and served on 13 local boards. During his time with NCF’s national team, Scott helped launch four new affiliate offices in Austin, Waco, Memphis, and Lancaster. In 2023, he transitioned into an advisory role with NCF’s Giver Experience and Offerings team, and in 2024, he was named president of NCF Gulf South.

Scott is deeply committed to the local church and has a heart for advancing men’s discipleship. He is a member of Red Mountain Church in Birmingham and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, fishing, and camping, as well as reading and occasional international travel.

Scott and his wife, Carmen, are proud parents of three adult children and delighted grandparents to six grandchildren, all of whom live in the Birmingham and Huntsville areas.
