Jim Bradford

Vice President, Relationship Manager

Jim Bradford currently serves as Vice President of NCF Gulf South, where he helps individuals and families fulfill their charitable goals through innovative giving strategies, particularly in the area of non-liquid gifts such as business interests and real estate.

A Birmingham native, Jim earned his B.S. in Business Management from Samford University. After graduation, he joined his family’s business—Bradford & Company Food Brokers—as the third generation to be involved in its operations. He worked there for 20 years until the company was sold in 2000. Following the sale, Jim transitioned into real estate, earning his license and acquiring The Buyer’s Agent, Bradford Realty, a firm specializing exclusively in representing buyers.

In 2012, Jim joined NCF Gulf South as a Relationship Manager and later became Vice President. In 2017, he earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP) designation, equipping him to better serve donors at all levels with thoughtful and creative charitable planning.

Jim has been actively involved in the Birmingham community, serving on several boards and committees including the Salvation Army Advisory Board, Cornerstone School Board, Elevate Birmingham Board, and various United Way committees. He is a member of the Downtown Rotary Club and serves as an Elder at Briarwood Presbyterian Church.

Jim and his wife, Carolyn, have three married children and eight grandchildren. They enjoy traveling together, especially when it includes spending time with their family.
