Julie Applegate

Julie served as the Director of Advancement at Second Baptist School in Houston, where she oversaw fundraising, event planning and alumni relations for 12 years prior to her retirement. Since her retirement she has been actively involved in Houston’s charitable community working with organizations including As Our Own, Houston Welcomes Refugees, Beloved and Belong, Kid’s Meals, Community Bible Study, and her neighborhood HOA. Julie holds a degree from Baylor University. She and her husband, Jeff, are founding members of Village Community Church, and have raised three grown children. In her free time, Julie enjoys traveling, Pickleball, sailing and reading.
