Karene Madden, the youngest of three daughters, was raised by hard-working entrepreneur parents in Kingston, Jamaica. She attended Immaculate Conception Preparatory and High School from the age of three until her graduation at eighteen. Karene spent much of her adolescent years singing and touring throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean with two performing arts groups: Little People and Teen Players Club and the Ashe Performing Arts Ensemble. After graduating from high school, Karene moved to the US to pursue music professionally but soon realized her passion for connecting with people through creative communication and strategic marketing. Graduating with honors from SUNY Purchase, Westchester, NY, she became the Director of Communication and Development for the Christian Counseling Center, the Greenwich Center for Hope and Renewal. In 2010 she obeyed the call to serve and volunteer in worship at Trinity Church, Greenwich, CT.
Over the years, Karene’s heart continued to grow for working in ministry. She has travelled on mission with Trinity to Uganda, Africa, serving Jenga. In addition to volunteering as a youth leader with Trinity Youth . She has worked with children in Jamaica through Trinity’s partnership with Praying Pelicans . Karene’s skills in administration has allowed her to work in several industries including corporate gifting, specifically, at Scarborough and Tweed as an Account Executive, specializing in promotion and merchandising for Fortune 100 Companies. She is also a licensed broker and has worked alongside industry leaders at the Cornerstone Brokerage firm, Lloyd Bedford Cox, Inc. In April 2020, Karene expanded her role at Trinity Church, joining the staff part time as Ministry and Worship Coordinator for Westchester County.
