Joel Smyer

Joel Smyer guides NCF – North Texas as President and General Counsel, sowing seeds of generosity and offering customized solutions for givers to maximize the amount and impact of their giving as they pursue their God-directed callings. Prior to joining the Foundation, Joel was a partner in the Fort Worth law firm of Anderson, Smyer, Riddle & Kuehler, LLP, where he practiced law in various areas of civil litigation. Joel is a graduate of Baylor University (1990) and Baylor University School of Law (1993). Joel is married to Laura, and has two young adult children – Jack and London.
