John Moore

Chairman of the Board

John Moore grew up with dreams of flying. After receiving a scholarship through Air Force ROTC, John joined the United States Air Force (USAF), where he became a fighter pilot, graduated from the USAF Fighter Weapons School, and was selected to be the Weapons and Tactics officer for the first operational A-10 squadron.

The Air Force was also where John found his passion for finance, assisting his fellow pilots with their money management questions. He then discovered he could combine his love of finance with the joy he found in helping others. After military service, John dove headfirst into a career as a financial advisor in hopes of lifting others through his expertise.

John’s commitment to his community and faith soon led him to realize that he could better serve his clients by incorporating his faith values into his financial advice. Guiding his clients with biblical financial principles, he instilled the values of contentment and generosity. Driven to make a deeper impact, he founded John Moore Associates (JMA) in 1997 and later expanded with a second office in Arizona. He also co-founded Zia Trust, Inc. and serves as Zia’s Board Chair.

John’s influence extends beyond his business interests. He co-founded the Southwest Affiliate of the National Christian Foundation and continues to serve on its Board of Directors, striving to contribute to its growth and impact.

John is an engaged member of the Arizona Charitable Gift Planners. He is also proud to serve as a member of the Advisory Board for the Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University. As a Certified Kingdom Advisor®, John is committed to applying biblical wisdom in all areas of life and to the mission of Kingdom Advisors.

As part of handing off JMA’s leadership to Brian Cochran, John and Brian co-authored two books:  The Almighty & the Dollar: A Lifestyle of Generosity and In Succession: A step-by-step Journey for Continuity.

John continues encouraging generosity among those around him while spending time with his wife, Connie, and their family.
