Jay DeGeare
Jay is a Managing Director and Financial Advisor in the Private Wealth Division of UBS. He has spent more than 26 years advising entrepreneurs, businesses, charities, and high-net-worth families on complex investment, asset allocation, risk management, tax, and philanthropic planning. Inevitably, Jay and his experienced team strive to add value to already successful families and organizations, helping them achieve their specific goals.
Jay is involved in a variety of organizations that serve others. He is on the Advisory Boards of ARISE Alliance, which supports treatment for post-traumatic stress, and a “Builder” for New Story, a global charity that supports the homeless in the poorest communities outside the United States. Jay is also a co-founder of New World Angels, an early-stage investment group supporting entrepreneurs. Formerly, he was President of the Miami, FL Chapter of the Association of Graduates for the United States Military Academy, a member of the Planned Giving Council of Ft Lauderdale, FL, and a marriage and parenting coach.
Jay and his wife Christi have been married for 33 years and have two boys, Jake and Taylor. He enjoys most things outdoors, including golf, fishing, and tennis. He served on active duty in the U.S. Army, mostly overseas in Germany, as a tank platoon leader and a reconnaissance scout platoon leader, retiring as an instructor. During his service, Jay earned a Ranger tab and the Airborne and Air Assault badges.
Jay received his Bachelor of Science in Business and a minor in Systems Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
