The lives of missionaries are complex. But one overarching theme is woven through all of their experiences: obedience. Many of their stories have been documented and preserved in order to inspire and challenge believers to respond to Jesus’ mandate to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:20).
We’ve curated a list of some good ones to help you pray better, support a missionary with deeper understanding, or discern God’s call to go yourself.
