Texas Hill Country Flood Relief

On Friday, July 4, 2025, the Guadalupe River surged nearly 29 feet in just 45 minutes, unleashing catastrophic flash flooding across the Texas Hill Country. Residents of Comfort, Kerrville, and surrounding communities were swept into fast-moving waters. More than 130 lives have been lost, including the director, counselors, and campers from Camp Mystic, a Christian summer camp for girls. In response, the State of Texas declared a state of emergency, with both the U.S. Coast Guard and the National Guard deployed to support ongoing rescue and recovery efforts.
NCF’s Texas teams, who all have a personal connection to someone impacted by the floods, have worked together to establish the Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Fund to help provide disaster relief for victims’ families and support local churches engaged in outreach. Read more on additional resources helping in the area.
NCF Austin President, Ryan Assunto, shares an update on the Texas Hill Country Flood Relief Fund and how resources are being deployed to meet needs on the ground.
As additional resources are received, funds will continue to be deployed thoughtfully and strategically. NCF Austin is working closely with local leaders and community partners who know the needs on the ground best, prayerfully discerning where support will bring the greatest help and hope. Funds have also helped hire an additional Young Life staff member in the area to ensure consistent, long-term relational ministry to high school kids.
Rebuilding efforts are expected to span the next three to five years, and the needs remain ongoing. If you would like to support this work, you can donate to the fund through the link below.
