Coming from a “normal dysfunctional family,” Jim Daly, President and CEO of Focus on the Family, wondered if all his experiences disqualified him from leading a family organization. And his doubts almost deterred him from joining the ministry.
He wrestled with God the night before taking on his position as President. By morning, he was miraculously comforted. “I just felt like the Lord said, ‘Listen, I own it all. Just yield yourself to me and trust me.’” Over time, Jim realized that it didn’t require his performance, just his faithfulness. “And that made the difference,” he says.
Ultimately, God’s faithfulness proved reliable. In 2024 alone, 290,000 people came to Christ, 140,000 marriages were helped, and 160,000 parents were coached through a crisis by the ministry of Focus on the Family.
