Creating shalom close to home

Meet Jess and Angela Correll, seventh-generation Kentuckians who felt called to bring their hometown of Stanford, Kentucky, back from the brink of extinction. Jess, head of First Southern National Bank, and Angela, an author and entrepreneur, have a simple philosophy: Be a blessing to the city you’re in.

This starts by investing in the well-being of their neighbors. From supporting staff through local businesses to cultivating spaces of hospitality and excellence, the Corrells’ revitalization efforts are a testament to living out your faith in community. As owners of multiple businesses in town, they’re dedicated to the flourishing of their neighbors.

When the Corrells, learned that the town where they live – Stanford – was suffering from a diminishing economy, they didn’t just throw up their hands. They got to work.

Watch the video to learn what guides the Corrells as they spread generosity in their community.
