This week, a small grant made a big difference for women in need, and it added up to something even greater – our 11 billionth dollar granted to charity since 1982.
With his Giving Fund at NCF, an anonymous giver in Indiana recommended a grant to a charity that provides outreach, emergency housing, trauma care, legal and other services to victims of sex trafficking. The US Department of Defense has identified sex trafficking as the fastest-growing crime in the world. To fight this epidemic, NCF givers like you have responded to the need by granting almost $5 million to support anti-trafficking organizations so far this year.
Overall, you’ve recommended 1.4 million grants to 55,000 charities since we began 36 years ago. Your giving has helped:
- Plant churches
- Provide education to the needy
- Offer disaster relief in the face of hurricanes
- Deliver much-needed medical care all around the world
- Regularly support orphans and children whose parents cannot make it alone
You are accomplishing the big vision that’s behind these 11 billion dollars: to see every person reached and restored through the love of Christ. Your gifts truly count for God’s global work, and this is a day to count our blessings.
We’ve got 11 billion reasons to celebrate!
