Crisis relief

How to help victims of the Israel-Hamas war

In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 7, 2023, the terrorist organization Hamas broke through the defenses dividing Gaza from Israel and carried out the deadliest attack in Israel since the Yom Kippur War of 1973, prompting swift and intense retaliation and a declaration of war.

Thousands of civilians have died in Israel and Gaza during the first days of the war, and damage to electrical infrastructure, water, sanitation, and hygiene systems are already affecting hundreds of thousands more. The lack of medical supplies is also impacting those needing critical care. Millions living in the region are affected.

Charities and organizations you know and trust have stepped in to provide aid and help alleviate the suffering. You’ll find our list of them below.

We encourage you to continue to pray for peace in this region of the world and for the safety of the millions of people affected.

We encourage you to do your own research of these charities. And – because many of these organizations are responding to crises around the world – please include a note designating your grant for the Israel-Hamas war.

All charities on this list are approved NCF grantees, ready to receive grants immediately. This is a developing story. Charities will be added, and details will updated as additional information becomes available.
